UAP inks MOA with Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines on the implementation of RA 9266

MOA signed last May 5, 2005

The United Architects of the Philippines entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines supporting the full implementation of Republic Act No. 9266. According to the MOA, the VLMP shall launch and spearhead an advocacy campaign among all its members to facilitate the approval of sanggunian resolution mandating the strict enforcement and implementation of RA 9266 and its IRR, specifically directing that all architectural plans, designs and documents shall be prepared, signed and sealed by duly licensed architects of their respective LGUs. Kalibo passes ordinance requiring the submission of ancillary permits

The Sanggunian Bayan of Municipality of Kalibo passed an ordinance requiring the submission of ancillary permits duly signed and sealed by the corresponding professionals (i.e. the Ancillary Architectural documents including Site Development Plan should be duly signed and sealed by the corresponding design professional, which is the Architect) together with the duly notarized application for building permits to the Office of the Building Official within the Municipality of Kalibo.
