UAP inks MOA with ARCHCARE
SCOUT RALLOS – The UNITED ARCHITECTS OF THE PHILIPPINES entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURAL RESEARCHERS AND EDUCATORS (ARCHCARE) to forge a successful partnership concerning the holding of the Annual Conference on Architectural Research and Education (ACARE).
ACARE is a yearly venue organized by the ARCHCARE to publicly present ideas, concepts and innovations by academicians and practitioners involved in architectural education and research. It is also a venue for the sharing of knowledge among researchers and educators.
UAP National President Architect Guillermo H. Hisancha noted that as “one of our corporate objectives to maintain the highest standards of architectural education, through the conduct of research, accumulation and dissemination of information in architecture, environmental design, ecology, technology, culture and other related fields, it is necessary that UAP should support the ACARE in our continuing effort to establish and realize the the effective functioning of the developmental network that is being envisioned for Philippine Architecture and to initiate a venue to public present the ideas, concept and innovations by academicians and practitioners involved in architectural education and research”.
Considering their common interest in promoting mutual cooperation in the area of education and research, both parties wish to expand the basis for friendly and cooperative educational and academic collaboration and agree to commit to the successful implementation of each other’s objectives and agree to work together to achieve outcomes consistent with the purpose of the said agreement and to undertake specific work and operational plans to fulfill the purpose of this agreement and their respective mandates.
The MOA was signed by UAP National President Arch. Guillermo H. Hisancha, representing the United Architects of the Philippines and Arch. Cristopher S.P. Espina, representing the Council of Architectural Researchers And Educators.
